Get your team registered for the Fall Season with the Austin 42 Club.

The season starts Monday, September 6th and league nights will take place at Ginny's Little Longhorn on Burnet Rd. Regular season games will play out until just before Thanksgiving with the playoffs taking place the weeks before Christmas.

The competition gets better and better each season and we expect it to be no different this time around.

The 88 season is wrapping up tonight at C-Hunts around 7:30pm.

Come on out if you're looking to get some fun games of dominoes in.

We'll be returning to the full on 42 arena in early September.

We are starting up the Summer 88 League in June. We are looking for teams of 3 and those folks interested in being alternates. There will be 6 matches over the summer ending in August. These are just for fun and its a good way to check out other bars in Austin. We'll be playing in various locations on the East Side, South Austin, and North Austin for a few weeks at a time to get some presence.

The record setting spring league has concluded and Jody and Aaron of 38 Special walking away victors. Its their first win in the Austin 42 Club in many seasons. Congrats on a well played season.

Austin and Chris from Gig'Em placed second, the highest two new folks have placed in our league since we started. Great job guys!

Its been a really exciting spring season around these parts. This time around we had a record turnout of 32 teams. Current standings puts those with 100 points or more in the playoffs with 2 brand new teams sandwiched in the middle. Good-niss! We even have one team thats riding an undefeated streak into Week 8 of 10!

Playoffs begin in May with a champion to be crowned before Memorial Day. Good luck finishing out the season and for those feeling down and out, just think like a Cubs fan "there's always next season."

Dale and Mark continued their amazing comeback all the way to the top in a 3-round knock down, drag out against David and Jody. Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone who played this season.

We will be getting the Spring 2010 season underway Monday, February 8th and running another awesome 10-game season until mid-April or so. Join us if you have that 42 itch that needs to be scratched mighty fierce

Find out Monday night as we head on over to C-Hunts for the Fall 2009 Final between TEA and DAM starting at 7:30pm.

Starting 0-5 and whining all the way, Dale and Mark (DAM) have rattled off 8 straight wins at the right team to make it all the way to the finals. Poking fun at the liberal community, Jody and Drob (David Roberts) (TEA), have been a solid duo for sometime now placing in N42PA tournaments and making their presence well known in the league. Congrats to both teams as they battle for the championship!

Starting tonight we have the 2009 Fall Playoffs going on at Ginny's. There should be lots of action as well as open tables as there are four teams with byes and looking for some fun action.

Also, congrats to the Austin crew that participated in the Tournament of Champions this weekend. Jody and David placed in the money, but its awesome to simply get an invite.

The league season starts on September 7th and will go for 12 weeks. There will be 10 games with 2 BYE weeks. The league is free to anyone that is new and only $5 for reoccurring players. All proceeds go toward club functions.

There are several folks floating around looking for partners still. We have some newcomers and regulars still looking.

Come on out on Monday to Ginnys where we are back on a regular basis and find yourself a partner. The league season is intense at times, but its a lot of fun.

"Bout time" is what we are all saying around 42 headquarters. There will be a mad rush of 10 games with your partner (over the course of 3 and a half months) against the best 42 players in the city.

Past winners of the league have gone on to become elected officials or at least complain about elected officials.

The league is fun. The league is serious. Play is set to begin on Monday, August 31st--hopefully at Ginny's Little Longhorn on Burnet Rd. League nights are scheduled for Mondays at 7:30 but most folks are pretty flexible when someone's schedule prevents playing then.

We also recommend joining the "Austin42" yahoo group to stay abreast of the details and to see when you can come on out and get some practice on. It will be fierce, but you will be better off for it.
